Responsible Play
Responsible Play
iDraft is designed for fantasy sports entertainment. We want contests to be exciting and fun – never stressful or harmful. This page explains how to stay in control and where to find help if you are concerned about your play or someone else’s.
Play for Fun, Not for Income
iDraft offers fantasy sports contests for entertainment purposes only. You should never view participation on iDraft as a way to earn guaranteed income, pay bills, or resolve financial difficulties. Paid contests involve financial risk, and there is no guarantee that you will win.
Tips for Staying in Control
- Set a budget before you play. Decide how much you are comfortable spending on contests over a day, week, or month, and stick to that amount.
- Only play with money you can afford to lose. Never use funds intended for rent, bills, food, medical needs, or other essentials.
- Track your time. Fantasy sports and research can be immersive. Pay attention to how much time you are spending on iDraft and related activities.
- Do not chase losses. Losing is part of fantasy sports. Avoid raising your entry amounts or entering more contests just to “win it back.”
- Take breaks. If you are feeling frustrated, stressed, or tired, step away and come back another time – or stop playing altogether.
- Keep perspective. iDraft is one form of entertainment among many. Make sure you are also spending time on other hobbies, interests, and relationships.
Possible Signs of a Problem
You may want to take a closer look at your play if you notice any of the following:
- You are spending more time or money on contests than you intended.
- You feel anxious, guilty, or stressed about your play or your losses.
- You are using fantasy sports to escape from problems or difficult emotions.
- You are hiding your play or spending from family members or friends.
- You are using money needed for essentials (rent, food, utilities, medical costs) to enter contests.
- You have tried to cut back or stop playing, but find it hard to do so.
If You Need Help
If you are concerned about your own play or about someone close to you, we encourage you to seek support. Speaking with a professional or a trusted person in your life can be an important first step.
In the United States, one place to start is:
- 1-800-GAMBLER – A confidential helpline that can connect you with local resources.
Similar services may exist in your state or country. If you are outside the United States, please look for local support organizations or hotlines that address compulsive play or behavior concerns.
Self-Exclusion and Account Closure
If you feel that you need to take a break from iDraft, you can request a temporary self-exclusion or permanent account closure at any time by contacting us at support@idraft.net.
- Temporary self-exclusion: Your account will be suspended for a period you choose (minimum 7 days). During this time, you will not be able to log in, enter contests, or make deposits. Any active contest entries will be completed normally.
- Permanent account closure: Your account will be permanently closed. Any remaining balance (excluding promotional credits) will be returned to you via your withdrawal method on file. This action cannot be reversed.
We process self-exclusion and closure requests as quickly as possible, typically within one business day.
Minors and Shared Devices
iDraft is intended only for adults who meet the legal age requirements in their jurisdiction. You are responsible for ensuring that your account and devices are not used by minors. If you share a device, consider using strong passwords and logging out after each session.
